I’m a qualified Psychotherapist, accredited DBT therapist, accredited supervisor and hypnotherapist. I’ve worked within a variety of health and social care settings; including substance rehabilitation and various mental health settings.
I believe that everyone is an individual that deserves the right to have the best life they can, I thrive on helping people get to where they want to be in their lives.
The thought of discussing difficult issues can be frightening, but due to my warm, welcoming empathetic approach I ensure to help you to relax and feel able to open up about your issues. I offer short and long term therapy. Sessions are 50 minutes long, but I can be flexible around this.

Therapy can be offered via video link (zoom, WhatsApp) , face to face in the comfort of your own home, on the telephone or in the great outdoors..
I offer a free 20 minute initial consultation which will take place by video link or telephone. This is a session for us to get to know each other and see if we work well together, we will also look at what you are seeking therapy for.

Prices range from £50 per session this will differ depending on what type of therapy you are seeking, this will also be discussed within the initial consultation. I offer some low cost sessions and can also offer both day time, evening and Saturday sessions.
Supervision cost is £50 for an hour, £65 for 90 minutes. I also offer some reduced rates for trainees

what is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is not how you see it on television. Hypnotherapy enables you to become in a relaxed state of mind to which you will know what is going on throughout and can wake up from at any time. Whilst in this relaxed state of mind/trance the hypnotherapist will be able to access your thought process and make the positive changes that you require. The Hypnotherapist will use guided relaxation techniques to get you into a trance. It can help people to deal with anxiety, addictions, painful memories and such like.
What is counselling/psychotherapy?
Counselling is a talking therapy, where you are able to talk about any issues that you have and be listened too in a safe, confidential space. Psychotherapy means that I am able to offer different tools from different modalities such as CBT, psychodynamic etc to help you move forward in life.
What is DBT?
DBT stands for Dialectical behaviour therapy. Its a therapy to help people that struggle with dealing with extreme/difficult emotions. It helps people to be able to understand and accept their emotions, have skills to cope with their feelings and make positive changes in their life.
What is walk and talk therapy?
Walk and talk therapy is just as it says. Sometimes sitting in a room or on a video call, feeling a lot of pressure to ‘talk’ can be too much for some people, making walking and talking a better option. I am happy to walk in parks etc and I’m also happy if you own a dog and want to bring them on the walk with us. Walk and talk therapy can also be good for those that are finding it difficult to get out and about due to having social anxieties.
What is Exposure therapy?
Exposure therapy can help people deal with several different issues from having social anxiety to phobia’s. An example of social anxiety: if your fear is going into shops, we can work on strategies that help with the anxiety that you feel, and can lead up to me coming into a shop with you. Regarding phobias, this could be doing some work on strategies to help you deal with your fear, leading up to you being able to either look at pictures of your fear or actually confronting your fear.
